MEMBERSHIP
Membership year: Membership in the club shall be based on the calendar year, January 1st to
December 31st.
Eligibility: Membership shall be open to all persons eighteen years of age and older, except junior
members, who are in good standing with The Canadian Kennel Club and who subscribe to the purposes
of this Club.
Types of Membership: There shall be 6 types of memberships as follows:
Regular Membership may be extended to persons eighteen (18) years of age and older on January
1st of the current calendar year. They are allowed all privileges of The Club.  $22.60
Family Membership shall include not more than two (2) adults or guardians and their children
under the age of eighteen (18) years as of January 1st of the current Club year. They are allowed all
privileges of The Club. Members under eighteen (18) years of age shall have the same rights and
responsibilities as Junior Members.  $28.25
Junior Membership may be extended to those persons under the age of eighteen years It is not
necessary to own a dog. Not required to have a parent, or other adult holding membership. There is
no fee for junior members. They may not hold office or vote at Club meetings.
Honorary Membership may be extended to any non member who has made outstanding
contributions to the club or purebred dogs. Proposed names will be nominated by the Board of
Directors and must be voted on by the general membership by a two-thirds majority vote at the
AGM
Life Membership may be granted to members who have made outstanding contributions to The
Club and purebred dogs over a long period of time and who have been continuous members for at
least twenty five years. Proposed names will be nominated by the Board of Directors and must be
voted on by the general membership by a two-thirds majority vote at the AGM. Life members do
not pay dues, but do have voting privileges.
Associate Membership may be extended to persons eighteen (18) years of age and older on
January 1st of the current Club year. They have the same privileges as a Regular Member except
they have NO voting rights, and CANNOT hold office

Dues: Membership dues shall be payable by January 1st of each year.
Membership renewals must be received by the membership director only, not later than February
28th of each year. Memberships received after that date shall be considered LAPSED. Lapsed
memberships shall be required to follow all rules as a NEW MEMBER. The Membership Director shall
notify each member that the dues for the ensuing year are payable by December 31st of the current
year; this notice to go out by e-mail, phone, fax or letter. All members must complete a membership
renewal form each year including Life Members. The annual membership fee shall be fixed from
time to time by a resolution of the Board.
